“Battle Of The Black Stone – Part 02 Bond Of The Black”

The beast emerged from the Eldritch portal with the power of a Brahma bull. Everyone within charging distance inside the Wanderer’s club scattered towards the edges of the hall. For some, it was too late. The monster began swiping indiscriminately with nightmare-like appendages, laying waste to those closest. With each gurgling scream, Professor John Kirowan and his partner, Mr. Conrad, scrambled to dodge the severed body parts ripped and tossed aside by the creature.

Then the prominent adventure, known only as El Borak, sprung forth from the back of the room – the hilt of a commandeered broadsword was grasped in both of his hands. Francis Xavier Gordon had been thankful, for the scholars here prize both books and antique weapons. As he closed the distance to swing at the creature, Professor Kirowan drew a heavy revolver from underneath his dress jacket and began firing rounds into necromaniac flesh.

What cryptic message has the ghostly form of James Allison been sent to deliver? Why has the black stone sigil become active in many places in time and space? Will Conan the Barbarian stay his slayer’s hand long enough to understand his newest allies?

“Mistress Of Death”

Come and find out the true origins of Robert E. Howard’s most unique character, Agnes De Chastillon. From her teenage beginnings to her years serving in a mercenary crew, Agnes would find her way through life in 16th century France. Jeffrey Shanks gives readers the full details of the swords woman and Howard’s possible inspirations for the character. Don’t miss this article if you can.

Reviewer Notes

This one was fast, crast, and full of gore. Just the way I like it. Heads are gonna roll as the Howardverse comes together to battle the dark forces of the black stone monument. Titan Comics is killing it in 2024. I give this issue five out of five stars!
