Death comes for us all, with no exception. For some, it arrives in the form of a quick trust of a dagger. Others face the end after a long fulfilling life with no remorse. None, however, have the foresight of knowing just when or how they will die. Well, unless the soul of the death god is trapped within their own body.
Red Sonja awakes to the sounds of human chanting. Her surroundings are obscured by thick metal bars which enclose her like an animal. Then Sonja remembered. She had been taken prisoner by a backwoods cult hell-bent on sacrificing her to gain power over death. Little do they know that death is closer than they ever imagined.

The slated finale of Dynamite Entertainment Red Sonja Volume 07 has arrived, but the “His Master’s Voice” storyline is still not finished. Does Torunn Gronbekk know how to end a story? Apparently not. Volume 07 has now been extended to another three issues.
I did enjoy issue #15 as there is a lot happening. Red Sonja almost gets married again, but her curse intervenes. Too bad, she would have made a good death goddess. I give this comic book four out of five stars. I would rate the overall series now, but Mr. Neverending-Story has three more attempts to wrap things up.
