Fantastic Four – Volume 07 Issue 24

My Rating

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“If It Wasn’t Forever…”

An alien race, dying from its own technology, had developed “quark-ships” to escape and explore their known universe. Or, so the quark pilot had told the members of the Fantastic Four when she was rescued. As Johnny Storm fights off the octopus-like creature in the Baxter Building garage, Reed’s translation matrix software finishes unlocking the alien phonics. A temporary peace is made but at a cost.

There is something very strange about the alien’s story. And why was she so in a hurry to leave Earth? Things just don’t add up as Reed begins to delay his efforts to help the castaway leave the third planet from the sun.

Why is the alien so afraid to be on Earth? Will Reed Richards reprogram the Fantastic Four particle accelerator to shoot the quark-ship back into outer space? What is a time dilation anyway? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

In space, no one can hear you shrink! But what happens at the end of the universe? That question will be answered in Fantastic Four #24. Thanks octopus aliens! Like the Earth doesn’t have enough problems.

This is another fun issue that any fan of the Fantastic Four, science fiction, or particle physicist nerd should enjoy. Plus, there is a surprise ending that made me smile. Shouldn’t this be a key issue? I guess we will find out in the next issue. This is another four-star issue all the way.
