My Rating

Rating: 3 out of 5.

“Safe Once More”

With the full spectrum lights disabled all around Madison Square Garden, Reed Richards helps fend off a new mob of vampires breaching the perimeter. Within minutes, the situation becomes dire as Alicia discovers blood pouring freely from Reed’s wounds sustained yesterday during the first wave of attacks in Manhattan. The survivors begin a retreat down into the basement so Reed can get proper medical attention. If they lose his knowledge and leadership, all will be lost.

Can Mr. Fantastic develop a scientific countermeasure to the magic born curse infecting New Yorkers with vampirism? Will Johnny Storm become the savior of the Benson, Arizona, invasion? Has Jo-Venn been selected to become the first Vampire-Kree hybrid? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

SPOILER ALERT: This was an interesting read. However, why is there no interaction with other superheroes? The Fantastic Four’s involvement in the Blood Hunt is so isolated, why bother including them in the storyline at all? It doesn’t make sense.

My question still stands from before. Why didn’t  Reed just take everyone to the Baxter Building? It survived the Reckoning War, which was way more dangerous than a few suck-heads. Also, in Arizona, Sue, Johnny, and Ben had access to the Fantastic Four rocket. Why not utilize that to leave the area? Ryan North kind of fumbled the ball here, in my honest opinion. I’m giving this book three out of five stars.
