Those looking for some gameplay for Survios’ upcoming VR title Alien: Rogue Incursion got their wish at SDCC with a new trailer. The trailer reveals that players will be stepping into the virtual boots of Zula Hendricks, who will be voiced by Andia Winslow.

Those who keep up with the Alien comics put out by Dark Horse Comics will be familiar with Hendricks, who has made several appearances in the comics, starting back with the 12-issue limited series Aliens: Defiance back in 2017.

As for the trailer itself, we get a good look at the remote mining colony on LV-354 aka Purdan that’s currently infested with Xenomorphs, which Hendricks has ventured into in order to save her comrade. Luckily, Hendricks seems more than capable of handling a pulse rifle. You’ll also be employing the famous M314 motion tracker, which will no doubt please many fans as you scour the facility.

Alien: Rogue Incursion is an all-new single-player, action-horror VR game featuring an original story that “fully immerses players within the terrors of the Alien universe.” As you might surmise, you’ll be having to deal with Xenomorphs, which can intelligently use the environment to find the best angle of attack and appear from anywhere around you. Combat is dynamic, and can happen based on your actions. Xenomorphs spawning is reactive to your movements. Make a lot of noise, and you can expect company.

Look for Alien: Rogue Incursion later this year, when it will be released for the Meta Quest 3, the PlayStation VR 2 and PC via Steam.
