Army Of Darkness Forever – Volume 01 Issue 09

My Rating

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“Ashes to Ashes!”

From the sky they fell, pulled through time by the power of three Necronomicons. Then Ash and his robot pals crash face-first into the broken pavement of a besieged London street, circa 1993 AD. Home! The man who survived the evil of three centuries finds himself back where he so much wanted to be. But is it?

Ash scrambles to pick himself up as the modern day Army of Darkness begins to surround his position. This time he’s not facing a band of primitive screw-heads armed with blades and spears. No. Evil Ash has full control over a mechanized force of tanks, guns, and magic. They are the few, the proud, the evil marines!

Can Ash Williams defeat the defeater with a handful of robots and a demon baby? When was the last time someone changed that thing anyway? Will a possession in the past send echoed sentiments to a future lover? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

The situation is about to hit a boiling point as all three timelines have become Deadite friendly. I have to say, I love Army of Darkness Forever as it was the original direction the 1992 movie Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3) was going. Too bad it never made it into production. This series has surpassed many of the DC and Marvel titles this year. I just wish Dynamite would put as much attention into their Red Sonja line of books.

I give issue nine of Army Of Darkness Forever four out of five stars. The story is as fun as the movies. The art is kooky. Now we have a demon baby!
