Although the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie is not due for a theatrical release until this December, the movie appears to have been fully completed. The news comes from composer Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) who says that he saw the film for the first time yesterday and said that it was an “exciting” experience.
“Actually, I saw the film for the very first time yesterday. I know what the film is all about. It’s just such an exciting movie. It’s just really interesting.”
Tom Holkenborg also told entertainment website Collider that he was pleased to be part of a film which his family is into and says that his sons are super excited for the movie and have watched the previous Sonic movies multiple times, so he can’t wait for them to see the finished project.
“I have two young boys, and it’s really great for a composer that you can watch a movie that you actually worked on and they’re very excited about it.
“They’ve seen the first and the second one maybe 20, 30, 40 times. That’s how our young kids wanna do it, you know? They wanna watch it again and again and again. So, I’m very excited for them to see this one by the end of the year.”
