Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op mining game featuring hardy and hilarious Dwarfs, and it’s collaborated with metal band Wind Rose who have become popular for their Dwarven-themed songs.

Deep Rock Galactic is a fun time. Players group together in teams of four to dig deep into the ground and unearth previous resources. Each trip is frought with danger, though, as huge, vicious bugs threaten their mining operations.

Now, the game has teamed up with Wind Rose, a band known for making Dwarven metal. An announcement on their website reads, “Dwarfs from around the world, WE HEARD YOU!
We teamed up with Deep Rock Galactic to release our new single Rock And Stone, which will be the ultimate anthem of Dwarf Metal!”

The song is called ‘Rock and Stone’, and it will be featuring on their upcoming album ‘Trollslayer’, releasing October 4. “Do I hear a rock and stone?”, the band shouts as the song begins. Rock and stone is the phrase used by the Dwarfs in Deep Rock Galactic as they descend into the mines.

Some other mining songs tha band have made are ‘Diggy Dig Hole’ and ‘Mine Mine Mine!’, so they’re no strangers to getting their hands dirty.

Deep Rock Galactic players over on Reddit seem excited about the song. “Did I hear a Rock snd Stone?!?” asks one comment. People have also been digging into other potential Dwarf references in the song and artwork for the single. “The cover art and the album title are also direct reference to Slayers in the Warhammer fantasy universe. Might even be a reference to Gotrek,” posits one player.

In other news, Xbox players aren’t happy with new Game Pass plans to increase the price of exisitng tiers and introduce a new, cheaper one that misses out on some key features.
