Nearly a year since independent Polish studio Kruger & Flint Productions’ arcade throwback FPS Bloodhound burst onto Steam, the shooter is now available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Xbox fans won’t be left out for too long, as Bloodhound will arrive this August for the Xbox One and the Xbox Series.

Set in meticulously crafted hellish locations inspired by cult horror movies, legendary FPS games and real-world references, Bloodhound casts you as a valiant member of the Order of Keepers of the Gates, a secret faction of the Templar order. You’ve been tasked with guarding the gates of Hell against the Cult of Astaroth, which seeks to open them and let all hell loose.

Naturally, you’re not going to stand for this, and with classic FPS games such as Doom, Quake and Painkiller inspiring your arsenal, you’re ready to slay some demons. Your 10 weapons include implements such as a machete, double-barrelled shotgun, crossbow, rocket launcher, a chainsaw-flamethrower and more.

The PlayStation version of Bloodhound will also include the game’s free DLC addon, Juicy Retro Style!, adding a pixelated filter to the game that gives it that extra old-school aesthetic.

If you’re a PC gamer at heart, Bloodhound is currently enjoying an 80% discount during the Steam Summer Sale, so snag it before the sale ends on July 11th.
