Yacht Club Games celebrated ten years of Shovel Knight yesterday, and while there was plenty of news surrounding the Blue Burrower himself, their new mousy mascot got a piece of the action too with the release of a trailer for her game.

A product of a successful Kickstarter campaign that generated over a million dollars, Mina the Hollower draws inspiration from retro games that we all know and love- including Link’s Awakening and the Zelda Oracle games, among many others. In this update, Yacht Club mentioned that the game would run at a smooth 60 frames per second, and that the team would be hard at work, refining every detail, until the game’s eventual release. On that note, no release date has been confirmed, but we know for sure that it will be coming to Switch.

in the meantime, indie enthusiasts and followers of the developer can head back to The Valley with the upcoming Shovel Knight DX. Though its release date is unconfirmed as well, it’s likely that it’ll be used as a buffer between now and the release of Mina. The much-anticipated Nintendo Direct this month may also have some good news for starving fans, but you can count on us to keep you updated.
