J Hus has pulled out of his headlining slot at this year’s edition of Parklife Festival, citing “unforeseen circumstances”.

The festival’s organisers took to X/Twitter to announce that the rapper will no longer be performing at the bash. The announcement comes just three days before the festival is set to take place. J Hus was set to headline The Valley stage on Sunday (June 9).

“Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, J Hus will no longer be performing at this year’s festival,” began their statement. “With over 100 acts gracing Heaton Park this weekend, we look forward to welcoming everyone to Parklife 2024 on Saturday! Please check the Parklife app to stay up to date with any updates to this weekend’s programme.”

Fans have taken to X/Twitter to express their feelings over the rapper’s sudden cancellation. “J Hus isn’t doing Parklife anymore? this is looking shaky ngl,” wrote one user while another said: “J hus not going parklife anymore. My days ruined.” Check out more fan reactions below.

The announcement of J Hus pulling out of the festival comes shortly after Fisher shared that he would have to pull out of his headlining slot.

The Australian music producer and DJ shared a statement explaining that he had to pull out of the Mancunian music festival due to his partner Chloe’s pregnancy and how uncertain her due date has become. He was slated to perform with Chris Lake and headline the Hangar stage on Sunday (June 9).

Elsewhere, J Hus dropped his third studio album ‘Beautiful And Brutal Yard’ last July. His first album in six years featured the likes of Jorja Smith, Popcaan and longtime supporter Drake.

NME said the LP was “an elongated, yet joyous return” that saw Hus “explore more musical terrain than ever before” whilst “channel[ling] his lyrical potency, struggles and romantic pursuits into one unified portrait.”

In other news, J Hus is set to perform at Roskilde Festival and Wireless Festival.
