Tahoe Joe? Again? Dillon Brown and Michael Rock must’ve exhausted all their chill over the years because I swear I just talked about the first movie not too long ago. Let me check real quick… Holy snap! My review was from 2022!? Time doesn’t just fly, it zooms. Still, that’s a pretty good turnaround rate for a low-budget indie film series, so color me impressed!

That’s right, Blood Babes! Tahoe Joe 2: The Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Conspiracy is on its way to your small screens! It drops on Memorial Day weekend, in fact. So all you Bigfoot Horror lovers out there should get real excited, real fast!

From the press release:

“After a popular social media influencer goes missing in the Tahoe National Forest, filmmakers Michael Rock and Dillon Brown set out on a rescue mission, but get more than they bargained for when returning to the famous hunting grounds of Tahoe Joe.

The amount of respect I have for Dillon and Rock for their decision to specifically feature veterans in their films goes beyond words. Veterans and first responders who live with PTSD are featured prominently both in front of and behind the camera. The goal is to have these roles act as a form of therapy. Giving them an outlet that allows productivity as well as creativity is a gesture of kindness well worth celebrating.

I’ve had the pleasure of watching Tahoe Joe 2, and while I didn’t prefer it over the previous outing, it was still a good time! Some twists and turns, plenty of Tahoe Joe, and the “bromance” between the two leads continues to be the connective tissue keeping everything together. Look forward to a full review in the future!

Tahoe Joe 2 drops on POV Horror and Bigfoot TV on May 27, 2024, with a Tubi release planned down the road. This gives you plenty of time to check out the first film right here, by the way. Just a heads up!
