A new Bruce Springsteen concert documentary is on the way, and will be available on streaming services later this year.

Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band has been confirmed to release on Disney+ and Hulu in October, although a firm release date has yet to be announced. The concert film will focus on Springsteen’s ongoing tour.

The documentary – directed by Springsteen’s longtime collaborator Thom Zimny – is set to feature footage of several concerts, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s intimate rehearsals. It will also include archival footage and new interviews with Springsteen and members of the E Street Band.

Per a press release, Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band “opens a new door to Springsteen’s creative process for fans around the world, sharing fly-on-the-wall footage of band rehearsals and special moments backstage — as well as hearing from Springsteen himself.”

“These conversations follow Springsteen closely as he develops the story he wants to tell with this tour’s setlist — interspersed with rare archival clips of the E Street Band, underscoring themes of life, loss, mortality and community. In this way, it serves as an essential and never-before-seen chapter in an autobiographical series spanning Springsteen’s memoir Born to Run, Springsteen on Broadway, and the films Western Stars and Letter to You.”

The upcoming documentary isn’t the only form of visual media based on the Boss that is in the works. A Springsteen biopic titled Deliver Me From Nowhere is currently in pre-production. The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White will portray the musician and it is set to be directed by Scott Cooper, who also helmed Crazy HeartBlack MassAntlers and more. Springsteen is said to be actively involved in the project.

It has recently been reported by Variety that Succession star Jeremy Strong has joined the cast, playing Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager who was hired in 1975 and co-produced nine of his albums, including ‘Nebraska’ and ‘Born In The U.S.A.’.

Springsteen kicked off his UK and European tour last week at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, his first show in Wales for 11 years. It begins a three-month string of dates that will end with two climactic nights at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 25 and 27.
