“Savage Red Sonja”

To reunite the legendary Scepter and Blood Ruby of King Gresh, the artifacts must be bathed in supernatural fires of a dragon born. But can Red Sonja trust those who have already betrayed her? Time will tell as their last leg in the journey ends over the mountain crest.

Can a disciplined warrior be less trustworthy than a rogue agent? Does Red Sonja truly hold the Blood Ruby of old King Gresh? How much treasure does a real-life dragon really have? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

What an entertaining end to a very fun miniseries. I won’t leave any spoilers here, but I will say that I enjoyed this iteration of Red Sonja over Dynamite’s main title series. I don’t dislike the main Sonja books, but the story has completely gone off the rails, in my opinion. I just hope the team on the Savage Red Sonja series gets to do a sequel.

I’m giving this issue four out of five stars. As a series in general, it’s a five out of five star contender. Will the next release of “Red Sonja: Empire of the Damned” be able to top “Savage Red Sonja”? Let’s hope so, as the fans deserve as much.
