New Life

John Rosman‘s New Life is finally getting a release this year and I’m here to tell you that you should be very excited. Rosman’s feature film debut is a gorgeous and strange piece of horror that proves there are still so many incredible ways to tell terrifying stories. This one is sad, creepy, unnerving, and shocking, all wrapped into an ultimately heartfelt package about humanity.

In New Life, “A mysterious woman is hunted down by a resourceful fixer sent by the CDC, and the stakes of the pursuit rise to apocalyptic proportions.”

That’s all you need to know about Rosman’s shocking feature film debut. Now, check out our exclusive photos that we promise don’t spoil anything that awaits in New Life.

As you can see in the photos, Sonya Walger and Hayley Erin star in New Life, alongside Tony Amendola. But Walger and Erin are the Earth and Moon of the film, so to speak, with one orbiting around the other (I won’t spoil who is what heavenly body in this strange metaphor) until they violently collide.

In her review of the film out of FrightFest 2023, Dread Central’s Mary Beth McAndrews wrote,

This piece of deeply moving, bittersweet, and terrifying horror filmmaking will embed itself in your heart like a sliver of glass. A stunning script from Rosman, paired with stellar performances and gorgeous cinematography make this film a must-watch. Go in with an open mind and get ready for your jaw to drop.

New Life is set to hit theaters and VOD on May 3, 2024, from Brainstorm Media.
