Doctor Strange – Volume 06 Issue 12

My Rating

Rating: 4 out of 5.

“Ghost Story”

The game is afoot! When the Doctor is away, the ghosts will play, as Bats races throughout the Sanctum Santorum looking for intruders. What is that smell exactly? Stephen Strange assured him before leaving with Clea that the magical barriers protecting the citadel would instantly warn them if someone would enter. Yeah, but what about Black Cat?

Clea frowned in jealous disapproval as the words left the basset hound’s doggy lips. A once in a lifetime faux pas, my dear Bats. Besides, the woman had supernatural assistance. This mattered little as Bats still smell something foul in the air. Where are the snakes?

No, don’t bother with them! They lie. They lie a lot! No matter, never leave a stone unturned when lives are in danger. Next stop Anton and Aleister…

Will Doctor Strange lose his support of the Vishanti? Is there something lurking in the darkened hallways of the Sanctum Santorum? What happened to Anton the snake? Collect the series to find out!

Reviewer Notes

It’s ghost on ghost action as we see the return of the Crypt. Need another hint? See Marvel’s last Halloween specials for a hint. Let’s just say there is some unfinished family business at play. Too bad an innocent ghost dog has to be drugged into it all.

I have to say this was a very fun issue. The two snakes are new to me, but I’m assuming they have been around in past issues. They remind me of the two Siamese cats in Disney’s “Lady and the Tramp” movie. Old people check!

I’m giving this issue four out of five stars. The issue ends on a cliffhanger. Let’s just hope dogs and snakes like living together. Check it out if you dare!
