“His Master’s Voice – Part 07”
Recovered from her wounds afflicted by a treacherous avatar, the Nuns of Brythunia have charged Sonja with the task of slaying the beasts known as the Tsjoko. The next morning Red Sonja travels the roads south toward the haunted forest where the mysterious slayings have taken place. Will her cunning and swordsmanship be enough to vanquish the avenger not meant for this world?
Unknown to the convent and their crimson haired assassin, the resurrected necromancer Kulan Gath marches from Vestfold with a marauding army of his own. Village after village falls to the madmen and their power hungry leader, but even Kulan Gath is unaware of the demons who stalk the woodlands nearby. It will only be time before the Warrior, the Warlock, and the Tsjoko cross paths.
Reviewer Notes
I have to admit I’m losing interest in this series quickly. I’m a fan of the Red Sonja character but this story is droning on and on with no end. Is this still part of the “His Master’s Voice” arc? I think, maybe. It would have been nice if Torunn Gronbekk included chapter titles or something to break up the monotony.
I’m giving issue seven of Red Sonja three out of five. This series needs to wrap up soon in order to hold any interest the fans may still have. On the other hand, I’m throwing my support behind the Savage Red Sonja series. I’m just glad we have that as a backup.
