This is great news if you are a fan of the actors and Marvel films. Marvel officially announced on Twitter the cast of Fantastic 4. It confirmed that Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things, Game of Thrones), Vanessa Kirby (Mission Impossible: Fallout, Napoleon), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear, Andor) as the next Fantastic Four. The movie is set to debut in theaters on July 25th, 2025. Check out the post and more about the film below.
Matt Shakman (WandaVision, Game of Thrones) will be directing the film. The script was written by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. It will follow the original 1961 story of “Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Susan Storm, and her brother, Johnny Storm, as they were forever changed during an experimental space flight that exposed them to cosmic rays, which gave them superhuman powers and abilities. In the aftermath of their incredible journey, the four pledged to stay together as a team.“
Fantastic Four was released in 2005 by 20th Century Fox and was received with mixed reviews. The film received 28% Critic and 45% Audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite this, the film went on to earn $333.5M at the global box office on a $100M budget. This would lead the film to get a sequel titled Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. This film also received mixed reviews earning 38% Critic and 51% Audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes. It went on to earn $301.9M at the global box office on a $130M budget. In 2015, a reboot titled Fantastic Four was released. This film received even worse reviews than the first two, earning 9% Critic and 18% Audience scores. It went on to earn $167.9M at the global box office on a $120M budget.
