Update [Thu 8th Feb, 2024 04:55 GMT]:

Following yesterday’s update to Super Mario Maker 2 on the Switch, dataminer ‘OatmealDome’ has shared a post on social media platform X, noting how there was “no new content” added behind the scenes. The sole adjustment has been to the game’s code, although it’s not clear what exactly has been changed within it.

OatmealDome: [Super Mario Maker 2] “No new content was added in version 3.0.3. The sole changes made were to the game’s code. It’s not clear exactly what the changes are. It’s possible it might be a fix for a security flaw, like version 3.0.2 and ENLBufferPwn. More investigation is required.”

If we hear anything else, we’ll let you know.
