Sunny Day Real Estate have announced a tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 1994’s Diary. The band will start with three shows in March before picking things back up in May. The last stretch of the tour takes place between August and October. See Sunny Day Real Estate’s tour dates below.

Along with the tour news, Sunny Day Real Estate have announced that they’ll release their first new song since 2014’s “Lipton Witch.” The new track, “Novum Vetus,” is out Friday, January 26. According to a press release, the idea behind the song dates back to the late 1990s. Singer Jeremy Enigk, guitarist, Dan Hoerner, and drummer William Goldsmith made “Novum Vetus” with guitarist Greg Suran and bassist Chris Jordan at Seattle’s London Bridge Studio.

While recording “Novum Vetus,” Sunny Day Real Estate made some more new music: an updated version of Diary that comes out May 3. They worked on Diary – Live at London Bridge Studio over a span of six days, according to the press release.

Sunny Day Real Estate reunited back in 2022 for their first shows since 2010. The band played more concerts in 2023.
