Last week, Hasbro celebrated Wolverine’s 50th Anniversary with new 6” figures of Lady Mandarin Psylocke and Ninja Wolverine, and this week they’re opening up pre-orders for a two-pack based on another Chris Claremont Wolverine classic: Marvel Legends Patch and Joe Fixit! We’ve had figures of both these characters before, but never together—and never in their matching white tuxes from Wolverine #8! Is this another must-have two-pack?

Another bullet point on the growing list of items making me feel older than dirt is realizing that one of my favorite comic book covers from my youth is now 35 years old.

The legendary Wolverine #8 cover featuring Joe Fixit and Patch Wolverine in white tuxedos is from a Chris Claremont tale where Logan manipulates Joe Fixit into helping him carry out missions in Madripoor. It’s easily my favorite Wolverine x Hulk team-up, and I’m delighted to see it commemorated in toy form.

Box Back Wolverine 50th Anniversary Marvel Legends Patch Joe Fixit Figures

Last year’s Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends Joe Fixit figure in striped suit was one of my surprise favorite ML figures of 2023. I didn’t think I’d be excited at the prospect of buying another gangster Hulk again less than a year later, but here we are.

Marvel Legends Hulk & Wolverine Figures in White Tuxedos 2024 Hasbro

This is largely the same Joe Fixit figure as last year, but I was a big fan of that figure, so that’s not necessarily a bad thing. They say that clothes make the man, and there’s no denying that tuxedo-clad Joe Fixit feels a whole lot classier than gangster striped suit Joe Fixit. This is the Hulk you want to hire for security at your formal function (though like every Hulk action figure ever, he doesn’t have the capability to cross his arms as seen on the Wolverine #8 cover).

2024 Marvel Legends Gray Hulk Joe Fixit Alternate HeadHulk doesn’t get the personality-rich hat or gun this time out, but he still has two new portraits (perturbed and more perturbed) and pin-less joints all around. The big selling point here is that this is a big, fancy-suited Gray Hulk perfectly outfitted to match a Wolverine, and that’s good enough for me.

And speaking of that Wolverine, it’s actually one of the last remaining iterations of the character I’d want represented in my figure collection. We technically got a Patch head as one of the accessories in the Wolverine motorcycle set from a few years ago, but this is the first time Hasbro is giving us a whole figure of Wolverine with the eyepatch.

Marvel Legends Patch gets a pin-less body that’s suitably small to scale properly, as well as serious and grinning heads. It’s a great figure that perfectly complements the Hulk it’s being sold alongside.

Marvel Legends Wolverine 50th Anniversary Patch & Joe Fixit Hulk 2-Pack Size Scale

The $59.99 retail price for this set isn’t unexpected. The last release of a larger Joe Fixit Hulk at Walmart had a $10 up charge for the size, so it seemed likely we’d see the same here. With normal figures at a $25 MSRP and the other Wolverine 50th Anniversary 2-packs at $49.99, I think the $59.99 price-tag here makes reasonable sense. I accept the price tag here, even though I know a lot of fans will be cheesed about it.

The Wolverine Marvel Legends Wolverine Patch and Joe Fixit Hulk figures are now up for order, and are scheduled to arrive this spring. Will this dapper duo be joining your display, Marvel collectors?
