From 11 bit studios and the team at Starward Industries comes a brand new IP. If you’re in the market for a cosmic affair, a philosophical adventure then you’ll want to get yourself involved in The Invincible.
Available right now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, The Invincible is a sci-fi game that will tease you forth via a mind-bending narrative. And throughout, you’ll be left to consider the relentless charge of humanity as they look to conquer space. Perhaps you should be aware that not everything, everywhere is for us as a species.
The Invincible launches on Xbox, PlayStation and PC
Priced at £24.99, we’ve had eyes on The Invincible ever since it was first unveiled way back in September of 2020. In the three years since that reveal, it’s a game that we’ve been hugely excited for, with full release on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC pushed along by a price tag that places this one firmly in ‘punt’ territory.
In The Invincible you’ll find yourself placed in the shoes of an astrobiologist – the sharp-tongued, Yasna. It’s her who is looking for her lost crew, attempting to bring them back from the eerie planet of Regis III. And whilst you may have thought you’d discovered ALL the planets in Starfield and No Man’s Sky previously, you ain’t seen nothing yet in Regis III.
Whether you bring back your crew dead or alive matters little (well, we’re pretty sure the latter would be preferable, but you may have no choice in the matter), just bring them back. Easier said then done perhaps when you consider that even though Regis III is an uninhabited place (is it!?), this quest and adventure will not be an easy one.
The Invincible (the game) is based on the book of the same name by Stanislaw Lem, as players look to take in expansive space vistas, a retro-futuristic design and more. It all promises to be a bit good. Our full review of The Invincible on Xbox will cover all the bases once it is live.

You’ll find The Invincible on the Xbox Store. It’s playable on Xbox Series X|S, as a current-gen only game. That does mean that if you’re still gaming on Xbox One, you’re going to be left disappointed. If any game is close to ensuring a console upgrade though, perhaps it’ll be The Invincible.
The Invincible is also on PlayStation 5 and PC.
