The wait is finally over for Gun Interactive’s first batch of DLC for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which sees the release of the game’s first cosmetic packs. That includes a new Leatherface outfit pack that features a new mask design by Greg Nicotero, a new saw design and sound, and a new universal kill that can be equipped to any Leatherface.
As Gun Interactive’s Wes Keltner explained previously, this new skin does not come with new abilities for Leatherface. Instead, it adds a new aesthetic to those who play as Leatherface. “It’s the same as the Pretty Woman or Old Lady skins for the base LF. However, we did give this LF a new saw with new recordings. It’s a deeper, growling saw that can be heard and identified immediately before you even see LF.”
Meanwhile, there are six other cosmetic packs for players to choose from. With the Slaughter Family Bloody Skins pack, players can choose to use a bloody variant of Leatherface, Hitchhiker, Cook, Johnny, or Sissy, while each Victim has a dedicated outfit pack with one new outfit and six color swaps. For example, Connie has a brand-new strawberry t-shirt, Sonny an authentic 70’s short sleeve button-ups, and Julie has matching two-piece tops and bell bottoms.
The Nicotero Leatherface pack can be had for $15.99, while each of the outfit packs for the Slaughter Family and Victims can be snagged for $4.99 each. Or, if you want, you can snag all five Victims outfit packs in a bundle for $19.99.
These outfit packs coincide with a new patch for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which you can read up on via the game’s official Reddit.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is out now on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
