Wendy Stuart will be hosting TriVersity Talk! this Wednesday at 7 PM ET with featured guest Stevie Hues.

TriVersity Talk! is a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community. With TriVersity Talk!, the goal is to laugh and learn.

TriVersity Talk! Is part of TriVersity’s ICARE Initiative. ICARE stands for Increasing Community Awareness through Relevant Education. ICARE Programs are generously funded by The Greater Pike Community Foundation.

Stevie Hues is a visual artist on a mission to infuse color, excitement and joy into the world. Through painting, illustration, and mural installations Stevie uses use layers of bright colors and bold lines to transform walls and canvases into vibrant, playful and inspirational spaces.  As a proud queer artist, Stevie often uses their work to push the boundaries of society and embrace the diversity of the human experience.

In addition to painting, Stevie has worked as a graphic designer, motion animator, and art director for individual clients and studios for the past 15+ years. They been fortunate enough to work with a variety of people, non-profits and businesses doing important work for the LGBTQIA+ community and are always looking for new ways to collaborate. 


Random facts:

• Originally from NJ, Lived in NYC from 2005-2014, Lived in LA 2014-2022, currently in Seattle.

• Graduated from SVA in NYC in 2009 

• Designed the Pride NYC t-shirts in 2011 and got to march with my own group during NYC pride that year

• Worked for The Trevor Project from 2012-2014 as a Marketing/Design specialist and also volunteered as a lifeline counselor

• Been drawing since childhood, but didn’t start painting / illustrating professionally until 2016

• Started a LGBTQ+ enamel pin company called GAYPIN’ in 2017 (gaypinguys.com)

• Did a road trip across the USA from March 2022 – January 2023

• Just finished a new mural last month at a LGBTQ+ owned donut shop in Seattle called Dough Joy
