Queens of the Stone Age have shared a new single from their upcoming album, In Times New Roman…, which is out this Friday (June 16) via Matador. The band’s latest track is titled “Paper Machete.” Check it out below.

“Paper Machete” arrives just two days after Queens of the Stone Age frontman Joshua Homme revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer last year. He broke the news in an interview with Revolver’s Steve Appleford, saying that he underwent surgery to remove the cancer, which was successful.

In May, Queens of the Stone Age released “Emotion Sickness,” the lead single from In Times New Roman…, followed by “Carnavoyeur.” The latter track received a spooky music video directed by Liam Lynch just yesterday. On Friday, the band will set out on a North American tour that stretches into October. Homme recently sat down with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to discuss the state of his band, the new record, and more.
