Earlier this week Hasbro revealed two new figures, one for the Vintage Collection and for the Black Series. For The Vintage Collection, they revealed Cad Bane from The Book of Boba Fett, and for the Black Series a Luke Skywalker & Grogu two-pack from The Book of Boba Fett.

It’s really nice to see a Book of Boba Fett version of Cad Bane in figure form and he did look a bit different in the series as he’s quite a bit older. I really like the gritted teeth expression and I can’t wait to see this version of Cad in the Black Series at some point.

A few months ago Hasbro teased that there would be another build-up pack in the line from The Book of Boba Fett featuring Luke Skywalker & Grogu. Now they have revealed the two-pack which consists of the two figures. The Luke Skywalker figure looks to have a new head and torso and I think the rest of the body is a reworking of The Mandalorian Luke Skywalker. The Grogu figure is very similar to the previous Grogu figures that we have gotten in the past and comes with a new smiley head. We do get a lot of accessories with this but some of them we have seen before. The training droid, frog creature, backpack, Yoda’s lightsaber & Luke’s Jedi Knight Lightsaber. The only new accessories that you get are the rock with the force lift stand, the gift, and the container for the lightsaber.

In the US this set costs $45 and here in the UK it costs about the same, but some places do charge slightly cheaper for it. I really like the look of the set, but I personally think it’s a little too expensive if this was around $10 cheaper I don’t think there would be that many complaints and I would really like to get this set as the Luke does look rather unique compared to the other Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker figures we’ve been getting and I love the homage to Lone Wolf & Cub. So I’ll be waiting to get this set on sale, especially with the plastic-free packaging as well.

Both of these items are scheduled to be released in the fall of this year.
