Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Xbox

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League continues to creep up in the release calendar. Coming from Rocksteady Studios, anticipation has rightly been high. But up until now, there has been very little in the way of gameplay and what the game will actually involve. That has all changed now, so let’s take an in-depth look at what’s to come.

Set in the Batman ‘Arkhamverse’ and a few years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight, Brainiac has arrived into Metropolis and brain washed many of the Justice League. The likes of Superman, The Flash and Batman now do Brainiacs bidding, meaning who is left to protect the world from those originally designated to do so. Step forward the Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Deadshot. Here is a look at the four of these in action with some four player co-op goodness:

Each member of the Suicide Squad will have their own playstyle as you can see. Traversal appears to play a huge part and you can see that each member is equally mobile, with Harley Quinn looking more like Spider-man than anything else. King Shark can throw himself into the centre of any battle with his huge jump, and Deadshot can hover in mid-air when taking those precision shots. Something he will need to do lots of with the amount of glowing weak spots on offer in the gameplay trailer.

Gameplay preview: Check. But what else is there to know about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Well, it turns out quite a bit thanks to a behind-the-scenes featurette from many of the developers at Rocksteady. In this video we learn about the design of Metropolis compared to Gotham City, as well as post-launch plans including new missions, characters, outfits and more all at no extra cost.

It all sounds a bit Marvel’s Avengers. Let’s hope it doesn’t share the same fate.

There isn’t too much longer to wait now: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be out on Xbox on 26th May. Between now and then, stay tuned here for news and more importantly, when the game goes live on the Xbox Store. Head over to Steam though if you want to pre-order it on PC. Let us know in the comments if you still have your eye on this game.
