The second season of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets” will premiere on March 24, 2023 – with a third season already ordered – and Vulture shares a brand new first-look image this week.

Up above you’ll find your first look at Elijah Wood as a brand new character in the world of “Yellowjackets,” of course standing alongside returning star Christina Ricci.

Elijah Wood will play Walter in Season 2 of the hit Showtime series, a dedicated citizen detective who will challenge Misty (Christina Ricci) in ways she won’t see coming.

We expect a trailer soon. Stay tuned.

The series was created by Ashley Lyle Bart Nickerson (“Narcos”), described as being “equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama.”

Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”

Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, and Juliette Lewis star.

Recently announced, Lauren Ambrose (“Servant”) is playing adult Van in Season 2. And Simone Kessell (“Obi-Wan”) is playing the adult version of Lottie.
