Just yesterday NECA uploaded the visual gallery for their Universal Monsters/Classic Monsters line. I find the title Classic Monsters very interesting because up to this point in time the only figures that we have seen them release so far have been Universal Monsters figures dubbing the line as the Universal Monsters Ultimate line, but now with one of the reveals in this visual guide, I can see why they’ve changed the title of the line.

In the visual guides, you see the color versions, black-and-white versions, and glow-in-the-dark versions. You can see the b&w version of Dracula which is subtitled, Carfax Abbey. This is the version that NECA revealed during the 31 Nights of Fright. Also in the visual guide, you get a full look at Dr.Professor Burke from London At Midnight as well as the Bride of Frankenstein looks incredible.

The reveal that changes the title is Count Orlock in the color and black-and-white line which looks fantastic. I am very surprised that they are doing a Count Orlock figure. I know that they did a Toony Terror figure but I didn’t expect to see an Ultimate version. It’s great that NECA is doing Count Orlock from Nosferatu which is 100 years old this year.

I’m not sure if Count Orlock’s inclusion means we’ll see more figures from the German Expression Silent films in this line as well. With this title change, it makes me think we’ll see the Hammer Horror figures in this line sometime in the future.

I am very happy that we finally see the Bride of Frankenstein and she looks amazing, the likeness is spot on to Elsa Lancaster with the red hair wig that she wore in the film I am very happy that they’ve done that. Her dress is soft goods and I am very curious to see what her other head sculpts and accessories are! I’m also tempted to get her in black and white to go with a black-and-white Monster. The Creature of The Black Lagoon figure looks brilliant as does Dr. Burke. Hopefully, these figures will be up for pre-order soon.
