Perfume Genius has shared a cover of Radiohead’s “4 Minute Warning.” The song was recorded at New York City’s famed Electric Lady Studios as part of Spotify’s Live at Electric Lady series. Mike Hadreas’ take on the In Rainbows Disk 2 cut appears on a new four-track EP. Perfume Genius: Live at Electric Lady also includes Hadreas’ original songs “Whole Life,” “Photograph,” and “On the Floor.” Check it out below.

“Touring over the last year has been really inspiring after so long away,” Hadreas commented in a press release. He continued:

I am happy to have a document of the new vibrancy and rousing spirit my band brings to the live versions of our most recent albums. “4 Minute Warning” became a favorite of mine during lockdown, something I would sit and sing over and over on the piano in my room. I’m happy to be out of that room now and sharing again.”

The original versions of “Whole Life” and “On the Floor” appear on Perfume Genius’ 2020 full-length Set My Heart on Fire Immediately, while “Photograph” is from Hadreas’ new album Ugly Season. The latter LP arrived with an accompanying short film from the visual artist Jacolby Satterwhite, who directed Solange’s When I Get Home.

On December 9, Perfume Genius will headline a 2022 Year in Music Showcase at Knockdown Center in Queens, hosted by Pitchfork Presents. Grace Ives will also play the show.
