This past weekend Hasbro was at MCM and revealed a number of products from their most significant licenses including Marvel, Star Wars, and G.I. Joe. They didn’t have any new figures on display for the brand and only scans and name only reveals which were:

Big Ben, Cobra Mole, Shadow Tracker, and Female Cobra Officer & Female Cobra Trooper.

I am really impressed with the Female Cobra two-pack and Big Ben which is the first figure in the Classified line of an international member of the JOE team. I would definitely love to get the Female Cobra figures as they look very unique. I don’t doubt we’ll see some of these and the other scans they showed off in the last month or so at Toy Fair next year.

For the Marvel Legends, they showed off some brand new newly announced figures and some that have been revealed in the last few weeks. On display, they showed off Ultimates Captain America, Extremis Iron-Man, Random, Vertigo, Zero, and What If Killmonger (Amazon Exclusive)

I’m really impressed with the Extremis Iron Man and Ultimates Captain America whom I’m looking forward to getting the most. I love the Ultimates Cap costume and I am really impressed that he comes with an interchangeable head, we have not seen that for a comic book Marvel Legends mainline figure for a while. The Amazon five-pack which consists of Stryfe, Pretty Boy, Vertigo, Zero, and Random will be very hard to get hold of in the UK much like the other Marvel Comic Marvel Legends they release exclusively on Amazon. I really like the look of the What If Erik Killmonger and his accessories are really interesting.

For Star Wars they showed off some Gaming Greats figures and some of their upcoming comic book/legends figures as well. I was so stoked with these as I have been hoping to see some of these figures in the Black Series line for some time. They revealed Scar Trooper MIC, Mara Jade, and Doctor Aphra for the comic book/legends lineup and Bastilla Shan and Darth Malak in the Gaming Greats line.

I am very happy to see Doctor Aphra after missing the first figure so I’ll definitely be getting this one and hopefully, they’ll release her droid companions soon enough. The Mara Jade figure looks excellent as is one I have been looking forward to seeing in the Black Series line for a long time. What I have noticed is that there’s quite a lot of new tooling, especially in Mara Jade’s case which doesn’t seem to have so much re-use. the Scar Trooper MIC figure looks great if you’re going to build the team he’s part of.

I know a lot of fans including myself are very happy with the inclusion of Bastilla Shan and Darth Marak to be included at long last in the Black Series line from the Knights of The Old Republic video games. I have noticed a shift in the Gaming Greats line, it’s just not repaints or army builders now we are getting lead characters from the games now, what with these two and Cal Kestis being part of the line gives me great hope for a Star Killer figure as we have a number of troops from his two games but not Star Killer himself yet.

All the Star Wars figures will be going up for pre-order tomorrow. The Ultimates Captain America, Extremis Iron Man will be up for pre-order on the 8th of November, and Amazon Exclusive Erik Killmonger will be up for pre-order tomorrow. All are expected to be released in the spring of next year.
