Kanye West (now legally known as Ye) was the guest on a recent episode of ABC’s Good Morning America. In the interview, which the network dubbed “A Conversation with Ye: Linsey Davis Reporting,” he discussed politics, social media, his ongoing feuds with Gap and Adidas, and his new school Donda Academy. Watch select footage from the segment below ahead of the full interview airing at 7 p.m. Eastern on ABC tonight. Watch clips below or at the GMA website.

In the clip, West addressed his public fallout with Kim Kardashian. “This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused, even in my frustration, because God calls me to be stronger,” he said. “I need this person to be less stressed and of the best, sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.” He went on to say he wanted to send his children to his controversial Donda Academy school, and that he still holds political aspirations.

Last month, Kanye West appeared on Fox News. While speaking with station correspondent Eric Shawn, he defended selling his Yeezy Gap line in large black construction sacks that looked like garbage bags after previously saying the clothes were inspired by “the children” and “the homeless.” Earlier this week, West also refuted a Billboard report that he was quietly shopping his publishing catalog by saying, “Just like Taylor Swift, my publishing is being put up for sale without my knowledge.”

Back in February, Ye released Donda 2, the sequel to his 2021 LP Donda. The new album was executive produced by Future and was released exclusively on the Stem Player, a $200 audio tool and remix device. Afterward, he formally released the album cut “True Love” featuring XXXTentacion, dropped his collaborative single with the Game, “Eazy,” and took home two Grammys, for “Hurricane” and “Jail.”
