Well, here we are again – Series 10 – Autumn in Forza Horizon 5 and their Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges at least. Although I have just had to spend a couple of days in Scotland, and I had to wear a jumper, so maybe it isn’t too far away here either… Anyway, a new season means a new collection of vehicular hooliganism to take part in, and so it proves so with all our favourites in place – The Trial, Playground Games, Seasonal Championships and PR Stunts. The only thing missing is some Eventlab nonsense.

Without more ado, let’s see what’s on offer and usher forth our hints, tips and guides to the best cars and tunes that you’ll need in order to grab the biggest of rewards through Series 10 – Autumn.

Part 1: #Forzathon Weekly Challenge – Setting the Pace

The now traditional “Buy a car and do stuff in it” challenge this week features the Jaguar i-Pace, an electric version of the (much better looking) F-Pace.

Chapter 1 – Luxury Experience

Buy the Jag, if you don’t already have one (it’s a mere 87,000 credits in the Autoshow) and take it up the road. Tick!

Alternatively, do The Eliminator challenge to pick the car up for free.

Chapter 2 – Electrifying Performance

For this challenge, we need to head to Guanajuato, and basically nail the throttle. Earn five speed Skills in the town to move onto stage 3.

And do yourself a favour, take a photo while you’re at it – two challenges for the price of one. And to make it three challenges in one step, keep the speed above 100mph for 15 seconds to complete the Treasure Hunt. How efficient.

Chapter 3 – Racing Technology

Now, apparently this car does have some racing pedigree, having entered the eTrophy electric touring car race.

It should come as no surprise then to learn that we need to win a Road Race in the vehicle, and I left mine bone stock for this. Pick whichever flavour of race you prefer, but I always find a short circuit race to be quickest.

Chapter 4 – Grace, Space, Pace

Finally, it’s time to show off your skills in the car, as we need to earn 100,000 skill score.

Thankfully not all in one go!

Just go crazy, is my only advice, whether that be drifting about the place or jumping off sand dunes, all the points count. And if you can time it to a skill song, so much the better.

And that is the weekly car challenge complete.

Part 2 – Weekly Challenges

This week’s Weekly Challenges offer up a couple of Seasonal Championships, the chance to play the Mini Games in Horizon Arcade, hit up The Trial with your bestest rando mates, partake in the Seasonal Playground Games and nail some PR Stunts.

The Trial – Change of Pace

Ah, The Trial, the weekly attempt to find a group of players who don’t think they are playing Dodgems on Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I do feel sorry for members of my convoy when we do this event, as the language as I get punted off in a corner, or barged wide of a checkpoint would make a sailor blush.

Anyway, this week we need to utilise an A Class Vehicle, and anything goes. With this in mind, I went a little left field and chose a Toyota GR Supra, with a share code of 984217186.

Completing the Trial will see you earn a Jaguar XFR-S, so that’s a nice little reward.

Horizon Arcade – Mini Games

I do like a Horizon Arcade round in these weekly challenges.

You know the score by now, I’m sure: pick your poison in Horizon Mini Games, be that Speed, Chaos, Drift, Wreckage or Air, and then complete the three rounds to earn Forza Points and prizes.

I prefer a Drift event to be honest, as I know that I can reliably solo them if no-one shows up, and the Formula Drift Supra in stock trim is all the car you’ll need.

Seasonal Playground Games – Team King

Ah, Playground Games. I don’t actually mind these rounds, as win or lose, you will collect the rewards, which is nice.

This week the restriction is an A Class 800 Super Hot Hatch, so I went with the classic Ford Focus RS 2017, with a share code of : 151963655.

Completing this task will net you an Audi RS5, so worth doing.

Speed Trap – Bulevar

Time for some antisocial driving!

Jump in a car and beat the target speed of 215 mph, in a town. Lucky we can use an S2 998 Class vehicle then, with no restrictions.

I went for a Bugatti VeyronSuper Sport, reasoning that speed will be important, and its share code is : 513611257. Approaching from the north seems to give the best results.

The prize for driving like a loony? How does an Extreme E #23 grab you?

Speed Zone – Ladera

Another opportunity to drive like an absolute idiot comes courtesy of the Speed Zone this week.

As I’m sure you know by now, we have to maintain a speed over the course, and this week the target is 88mph, just fast enough to go back in time. With a restriction of only A Class 800, something with grip and grunt would be required, and I went with a Mazda MX-5 Miata from 1994. Share code is 666061914.

Top tip : Don’t try it in the rain!

Nailing this target will get us a Super Wheelspin.

Drift Zone – Panoramica

It’s all about those sweet drift points this week!

We need to slide about a bit and nail 75,000 points, but given that the class is S1 900 Anything Goes, the Formula Drift Supra will be my weapon of choice.

Sliding about sufficiently will get us another Super Wheelspin, with all the possibilities that it contains.

Seasonal Championship – Extreme E Energy I

Continuing the theme for this season, that of Extreme-E racing, we have another two championships that we have to complete, using the Extreme-E vehicles, tuned to a maximum of A Class 800.

Working on the basis of “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, I’ll recommend the same car I used last week, the No.44 X44, with a share code of: 164790581.

Winning the championship will net you another Extreme-E vehicle, the No.5. That seems to be its whole name.

Seasonal Championship – Extreme E Energy II

The second of the Extreme-E only championships to complete back to back, and the same car will be my choice.

Winning this championship (or best two races out of three if you are in a convoy) will get you a natty Extreme E White Race Suit.

Tasty.

Horizon Tour – Co-op Challenges

I do like a Horizon Tour event, it has to be said. Join a session, meet other drivers and try to beat a team of driverbots, with some lovely cross country racing between the events.

Sadly, as the events are random, I can’t recommend a car to you, but if you haven’t done it before, give it a whirl, you might just enjoy it.

Part 3 – Other Challenges

Photo Challenge. Treasure Hunt. The Eliminator. What more could you want?

Photo Challenge – #PUREENERGY

As I mentioned at the top of the article, this week the challenge involves a Jaguar i-Pace and Guanajuata. Do it when you are on the second stage of the car challenge would be my advice.

I’ll include my artistic effort and the location below. And the prize? The “Rawr” emote.

Nope, I don’t know what that is either.

Treasure Hunt – Sustainable Energy

Luckily, given my frazzled state after driving 700 miles IRL in the last two days, the Treasure Hunt clue this week is pretty easy. “In Guanajuato, the EV charging points are every 15 seconds, but 100 are maintained”.

Basically, in an EV (like the Jaguar i-Pace we had to use earlier in this very location?) maintain 100 mph for 15 seconds.

This may be a challenge, given the urban environment, but stick with it and it is do-able.

The location of the Treasure Chest is shown below.

The Eliminator – Battle Royale

Ah, The Eliminator, my old adversary. I wish I had some wisdom to impart here, but my tactics involve running scared, hiding in bushes and keeping my fingers crossed.

Basically, if you adopt these same tactics and can get into the Top 30 of the competitors, you too can complete this week’s challenge.

Your Prize? A Jaguar i-Pace.Maybe do this bit first, eh?

Part 4 – Hot Wheels Events

As we all know, the iconic Hot Wheels brand has now merged into Forza Horizon 5 and so we’ve got a couple of additional, Hot Wheels specific, events to enjoy.

Danger Sign – Canyon Fire

And now onto the new section of the Weekly Challenges. You have to be at least Elite level in the Hot Wheels expansion to access these, but assuming you are, they shouldn’t be too difficult.

The first is the Canyon Fire danger sign, and in an A Class car, we have to jump over 330 metres. I chose a bone stock Hot Wheels Twin Mill, to enter into the spirit of things, and cleared 430 metres on my first try. Hitting the top of the ramp at over 165mph will see you right.

Prize? A Super Wheelspin.

Seasonal Championships – Do The Loop-Di-Loop!

Any excuse to do more racing is fine by me, and this time the challenge is to win in any Mazda, tuned to a max of B Class 700. I went with another 323 GTR, and this time the share code is: 148 674899.

Winning the championship, in the same manner as all the others will see you swan off with a shiny new Hot Wheels Tee in your pocket. Woo.

If you haven’t yet nailed the two new Monthly Events that popped up in Series 10 – Summer, then you may as well complete them now. You’ve got the Monthly Rivals Tierra Propera Circuit and the Forza EV Airfield Cross-Country Circuit to cleanly lap. You’ll get 4pts for each.

The points you earn will be able to be used to purchase the Series 10 – Autumn reward cars. This time, alongside the full Series offerings of the N0.58 Extreme E for 80pts and RAESR TS ‘19 for 160pts are a couple of little crackers – the Porsche 911C2 GW for 20pts and the F8 Tributo ‘20 for 40pts.

Yet again the Forza Horizon 5 gods are providing access to a ton of new stuff through the Series 10 – Autumn Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges. Let us know if this guide is of any use.

You’ll find Forza Horizon 5 is playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PC via the Xbox Store. It’s on Game Pass too whilst the Hot Wheels expansion will need to be purchased if you want to go really deep.
