Just a few months after releasing their comeback record Unlimited Love, Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced another new studio album: Return of the Dream Canteen is out October 14 via Warner. Find the album cover below.
The new album was produced by Rick Rubin, who also worked on Unlimited Love. In a press statement on the new studio LP, the band said:
Unlimited Love was the first Red Hot Chili Peppers album since 2016’s The Getaway. It also marked the band’s first record with guitarist John Frusicante since 2006’s Stadium Arcadium. The band previewed Unlimited Love with the songs “Black Summer,” “Poster Child,” “Not the One,” and “These Are the Ways.”
Last night (July 23), Red Hot Chili Peppers kicked off the North American leg of their stadium tour with a show at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High. Guests on the trek, which stretches into September, include Haim, Beck, Thundercat, the Strokes, King Princess, St. Vincent, and Post Malone.
