Earlier this year, Flume issued his latest full-length Palaces. Now, the Australian producer has released the first string of reworks for a remix version of the LP. The record includes an update on the title track from London duo Mount Kimbie and Detroit rapper ZelooperZ (both the original and remixed editions feature vocals from Damon Albarn). Check out Mount Kimbie’s “Die Cuts Remix” of “Palaces” below.

Flume released Palaces on May 20. The first installment of Palaces: The Remixes also includes reworks from Prospa, Logic1000, and Otik. Palaces followed Flume’s Grammy-nominated mixtape Hi This Is Flume.

In addition to Albarn, Palaces includes contributions from Caroline Polachek, Oklou, Kučka, and Vergen Maria. The producer was among the performers at this year’s Coachella festival, where he brought out Beck for “Tiny Cities,” Vince Staples for “Smoke & Retribution,” Caroline Polachek for “Sirens,” Tove Lo for “Say It,” and May-A for “Never Be Like You.”

Mount Kimbie’s last studio album was 2017’s Love What Survives, although last year the duo shared two previously unreleased tracks recorded during that LP’s sessions. Zelooperz issued his latest LP Get Wet.Radio in March.
