With Season 2 getting ready to film this summer, the first season of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets” is now coming to DVD, the upcoming release announced by Decider this week.

The first season of Showtime’s hit series “Yellowjackets” arrives on DVD July 19 from Showtime, CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment.

You’ll also be able to get it on Blu-ray, “manufactured-on-demand.”

Two new featurettes will be included with the release:

  • Yellowjackets: The Female Lens – We will hear from the star-studded cast and creators as they break down the making of Yellowjackets, highlighting the female-centric story.
  • Yellowjackets: Favorite Moments – This compilation of the buzziest Yellowjackets moments will include exclusive interviews from the cast and crew as they reflect on impactful scenes throughout the season.

Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”

Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, and Juliette Lewis star.

Meagan Navarro wrote here on Bloody Disgusting last year, “The cast, the addictive ’90s soundtrack, the mystery, the layered horror, and the bursts of gore all combine to make this event television you should be watching if you’re not already.”
