Detroit rapper Elzhi and musician, producer, and vocalist Georgia Anne Muldrow have joined forces on a new project. It’s titled Zhigeist and it’s out March 11 via Nature Sounds. Listen to “Strangeland” from the album below.

“Georgia’s music is phenomenal,” Elzhi said in a press statement. “Her natural aptitude is limitless when it comes to production and vocals. I wanted to translate what her music was communicating to me.”

After issuing Vweto III early last year, Muldrow has added her touch to a handful of remixes, offering new takes on tracks by Nubya Garcia (“Boundless Beings”), Mia Doi Todd (“Music Life”), and Little Dragon (“Hold On”). Elzhi’s most recent solo record is 2020’s Seven Times Down Eight Times Up.
