Far Cry 6 may well be getting a Season Pass complete with three DLC episodes focused on previous Far Cry villains, but the post-launch content doesn’t stop there. Ubisoft has revealed a slate of free post-launch content that will be available to all players beginning on launch day, and it includes crossovers with renowned franchises such as Rambo and Stranger Things, and actor Danny Trejo.

The free content begins on launch day, October 6, with Weekly Insurgencies. Once players have completed the game’s campaign, supporters of Antón Castillo will start rising up around Yara to take the island back. Eliminating these new threats will result in new gear to use in other game modes. Special Operations will also be introduced on launch day and will take place in new unique areas of the map. Not only must highly unstable chemical weapons be liberated from the stashes of Antón’s arms dealers, they must be extracted from set points before they overheat. The first two locations, Mesozoico and Maceo, will be available at launch. The remaining four locations will be released throughout the year.

The Crossover Missions will begin arriving in December. The first of these is “Danny & Dani vs. Everybody,” where Dani Rojas teams up with actor Danny Trejo to feed Trejo’s tacos to the locals. This might not sound terribly exciting, but what if I told you it involved a motorcycle and minigun-equipped sidecar as well as Trejo’s trademark machete? These are not conventional deliveries.

The second mission, “All The Blood,” will appear in February 2022 and features a Rambo superfan. He wants to take on the Yaran military forces in a “blood-soaked rampage of vengeance.” The final Stranger Things crossover mission is called “The Vanishing” and will appear in March. After Yaran citizens start disappearing, a mysterious creature is blamed. Then Chorizo goes missing too (Editor’s Note: I would do anything for Chorizo) and Dani needs to venture into Yara’s Upside Down to find him.

Ubisoft also divulged a release schedule for the game’s Season Pass content. Episode 1 -Vaas: Insanity will arrive in November, followed by Episode 2 – Pagan: Control in January 2022. Episode 3 – Joseph: Collapse concludes the season pass content in March. Each of these puts players in the role of the renowned villains as they investigate each character’s back story. In between Episodes 1 and 2 will be the arrival of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon: Classic Edition, an overhauled version of Sergeant Rex “Power” Colt’s adventure set in a cyber-future version of 2007.

Finally, Season Pass owners will also get access to the Blood Dragon Set that includes the Blood Dragon Gear Set outfit, AJM9 and Kobracon weapons, Omega Enforcer vehicle, KillStar weapon charm, K-9000 Fang-for-Hire, and a Blood Dragon vehicle Chibi. We’re assuming the Blood Dragon Set will arrive alongside Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon in December, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Far Cry 6 launches on October 6, 2021.
