It’s possibly the most anticipated update for Marvel’s Avengers yet, but finally the chance arises for players to embark on some new adventures with the free Black Panther – War for Wakanda expansion.
Available to players who already have the Marvel’s Avengers base game to hand, Black Panther – War for Wakanda is Square Enix’s latest attempt to inject new life into the Avengers tales. It brings with it the titular Black Panther, along with a couple of new villains, a new environment to explore, additional foes, another Outpost and more.
adding to a game that is already packed with content – you’re looking at upwards of 25 hours of single player campaign here, along with 8 other heroes and endless amounts of multiplayer options – Black Panther – War for Wakanda revolves around King T’Challa (obviously!).
It’s he who is the protector and ruler of Wakanda, but blindsided by a betrayal and then tragedy, T’Challa struggles to be able to find trust. When Klaw’s forces descend on Wakanda, it’s up to T’Challa to take them on, fighting for the right to defend anything, everything and everyone he holds dear.
By involving yourself in the Black Panther expansion you’ll get the opportunity to take in additional story missions which will mostly take you through the lush jungles of Wakanda. The Royal Palace which overlooks Birnin Zana will also be a port of call, as will the new Outpost that contains Shuri’s lab, Zawavari’s chambers and the Wakandan War Room.
Throw in further options in the new solo or multiplayer Drop Zone and Threat Sector missions and you’ll discover that the addition of the free Black Panther – War for Wakanda update is capable of pushing out the most content to Marvel’s Avengers since the original launch. It certainly seems like a decent expansion, following on nicely from that of Hawkeye and the Omega-Level Threat: Family Reunion end-game goodies.
