It was way back in 2019 that Greak: Memories of Azur was first announced for Switch as targeting a 2020 release. Clearly there’s been a bit of a wait, but developer Navegante Entertainment has now teamed up with Team17 and the game is right around the corner.

First of all, the Switch eShop is getting a console-exclusive demo that launches today (20th July), a chance for the project to capture some attention. The full game launches on 17th August, both on the eShop and in a retail edition; the download version will cost £15.99, $19.99, 19.99€.

As you can see in the trailer above it has a beautiful art style, and it promises puzzle-platforming as you utilise the unique abilities of three siblings. Its features also include a fully orchestrated soundtrack, so it seems well worth a look.

In Greak: Memories of Azur the player joins siblings Greak, Adara, and Raydel as they flee the deadly invasion on their home, each sibling boasting unique abilities that will assist in their journey; Greak offers up agility and the ability to fit where others will not; Adara wields arcane magic to devastating effect; and Raydel has skill in battle and specialised gear that make him a formidable foe. The player will need to alternate seamlessly between the three siblings to best navigate the beautiful yet hostile world of Azur, taking on the enemy Urlags as they attempt to survive.

Will you give the demo a try this week?
