We’ve just had confirmation of the free Xbox titles to be distributed through the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for July, and we’ve already seen the power of Xbox Game Pass deliver a ton of new titles to the service over the most recent month, but today 5 more games get added to Xbox Game Pass – and at least one of them is an award-winning corker.
Hot on the heels of the addition of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered and others just a few short days ago, Xbox Game Pass players now find free access to five further titles, with the likes of Limbo, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars, Gang Beasts, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Bug Fables all available for play today.
It’s probably Limbo which is the biggest name here, mostly as it’s picked up a whole host of awards since it first released in 2010. Created by Playdead – they also behind the equally as critically acclaimed Inside – Limbo is one of those must play titles; a game that will draw you in from the first moment to the last, before leaving you with more questions than you could ever have imagined.
A game that will usually cost you £7.99 to download, with free play via Xbox Game Pass, there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn’t want, or shouldn’t, be experiencing this young boy’s tale immediately.
But from the deep and dark, we also get the silly with the latest additions to Xbox Game Pass, notably in the form of the stupidly madcap multiplayer madness of Gang Beasts as you and your mates – or strangers should you prefer – battle it out for bragging rights of Beef City. With a whole host of customisation in place, and some seriously fun slapstick fighting, Gang Beasts is right up there as another one of those must-players.
It gets better still though and also thrown into the equation is the wonderfully quirky Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, as the Banjo-Kazooie universe sees you given the chance to create your own vehicles to to take on the iconic Jiggy challenges however you fancy. It may not be the most well known of Banjo titles, but it’s possibly one of the most groundbreaking.
Rounding out the latest set of Xbox Game Pass additions is the fun little adventure of Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, whilst the darker (much darker), Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars adds in an offering for those looking for a strategy fix. These two may be seen as the filler in the mighty Game Pass sandwich as July cracks on, but they still both offer some decent gaming times.
The best thing about these 5 additions is that all of them except Nuts & Bolts are playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC or through the Cloud on your mobile device, with Banjo’s adventure the only one ‘limited’ – and we use that word loosely – to just the Cloud.
The question is though, which of these games will you be playing first now that they have made the move and found themselves added to Xbox Game Pass? Let us know in the comments below.
