Although their marriage on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? is quickly crumbling, Mike and Natalie decided to add another member to the family, and viewers are grossed out by their new pet. According to fans, Mike and Natalie are the most infuriating 90 Day Fiancé couple in the franchise. The addition of their pet rat, Lucky, could have made them more likable. However, the reality TV stars have given Lucky the run of the kitchen, and it has fans gagging.
Natalie seems to take great pride in being an animal lover and has said so many times on the show. Although she still eats fish, 90 Day Fiancé‘s Natalie is a vegetarian, and the Ukrainian also likes having pets in the house. She doesn’t appear to get along well with Mike’s cat, but then again, she doesn’t get along well with Mike either. The couple’s relationship is headed towards disaster, and they both seem to know it. Mike and Natalie’s incompatibility runs deep, and their marriage is falling apart so fast that not even a new pet can save it.

In a new episode of Happily Ever After, 90 Day Fiancé‘s Mike and Natalie introduced Lucky the rat, whom Natalie saw in a pet store and rescued from becoming a snake’s next meal. However, in the scene (where confederate flag décor was spotted in the background), fans on Reddit noticed that Lucky seemed to have the run of the kitchen. The intrepid rodent cruised his way all over Mike and Natalie’s dining room table, and even climbed up onto their toaster. Fans were understandably revolted by how nonchalantly Mike and Natalie let Lucky contaminate their kitchen.
Many fans didn’t have an issue with rats as pets but felt that Lucky’s kitchen walkabout was unhygienic. “Ugh so gross…get that guy off the damn toaster lady!!” a fan commented on the scene. Even though there are claims that 90 Day Fiancé‘s Natalie accidentally ran over her dog, Nymeria, she obviously loves animals. But in this case, Natalie has given Lucky too much freedom. Several fans couldn’t help but picture the rat pooping or urinating on the toaster and then imagined the inevitable stomach-churning smell of burnt rat poo the next time Mike or Natalie want some toast.
The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? couple’s pet rat was a hit with many fans because Lucky is seen as more likable than both of his owners put together. However, as cute and charismatic as Lucky is, the rat should not be allowed to run amok throughout the kitchen. It’s unhygienic and gross that Mike and Natalie let Lucky contaminate their kitchen the way they have. But with their failing marriage, the couple has bigger things to worry about. They might want to consider getting a new toaster–and new spouses while they’re at it.
