Cross-Play is coming to Overwatch soon, allowing players to group up and play together.

Overwatch players will soon be able to play with others, regardless of platform, thanks to the latest global Battle.net update.

The update will allow players from around the world to team up, as long as they have a Battle.net account and have linked their appropriate console accounts.

If you are unsure how to create a Battle.net account, or want to know how to link your platform to a Battle.net account, Blizzard has you covered.

To celebrate, everyone who logs in to Overwatch by the end of the year will receive a Golden Loot Box.

It’s worth noting that while cross-play will allow you to group up with friends using other systems, progress and collection content will not carry over between sessions on different systems.

Also, cross-play will be enabled for all game modes with the exception of Competitive games.

Competitive players will be split into two pools depending on the system that they are playing – console or PC. For balance purposes, PC players and console players will not be mixed in the same pool for competitive matches.
