As players approach the end of Fortnite Season 6, they are likely to be searching for ways to boost their seasonal XP, and Legendary Quests can be one potential solution. Both Epic and Legendary Quests in Fortnite are added weekly, but the Epic Quests can be completed any time during the season. Legendary Quests have a time limit of exactly one week. Fortnite Legendary Quests consist of a single activity players must perform in five stages, called Tiers, with each stage usually increasing in difficulty or quantity. Legendary Quests reward large chunks of XP each time players clear a Tier: 35,000 XP for clearing the first Tier, and 24,500 XP for each of the remaining four Tiers. During Week 10 of Fortnite Season 6, players can complete a Legendary Quest to get about 8 minutes airborne using two jump-modification loot items.

The Week 10 Legendary Quest tasks players with getting 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 seconds airborne using Hop Floppers and Shockwave Grenades. Hop Floppers are a kind of fish that can be found in most biomes around the Fortnite map. When consumed, they lessen the effects of gravity, allowing players to jump higher and stay in the air longer. Shockwave Grenades are a type of weapon that can blast players across long distances, even through structures, without causing damage. Players will need to find enough of these items to spend a total of eight minutes in the air. Completing all five Tiers of the Quest rewards players 133,000 XP toward their Season 6 Battle Pass. Here’s where to go to find Hop Floppers and Shockwave Grenades to complete the Week 10 Legendary Quest in Fortnite Season 6.

How to Get Hop Floppers in Fortnite Season 6

Fortnite Fishing Pier

Completing the Week 10 Legendary Quest in Fortnite Season 6 will likely be easiest when using Hop Floppers. There is a variation of a Hop Flopper in nearly every biome around the Fortnite map. They can typically be caught with any regular fishing rod or a Harpoon Gun. The variants and their associated biomes appear below:

  • Drift Hop Flopper: Any fishing spot
  • Coho Hop Flopper: Forest biomes
  • Atlantic Hop Flopper: Mountain biomes (requires a Pro Fishing Rod)
  • Chinhook Hop Flopper: Swamp biomes
  • Chum Hop Flopper: Coastal biomes

Players will need to pick up a fishing rod before they can start reeling in Hop Floppers. These are found in barrels near fishing spots or as loot around the map.

To use a Hop Flopper, players will need to simply consume it. This gives players a low gravity effect for one minute, which they can use to jump and float in the air. To get the maximum amount of time airborne for every Hop Flopper caught, players may consider building a structure on a high place and jumping from that height.

How to Get Shockwave Grenades in Fortnite Season 6

Shockwave Grenades are a little more difficult to find in Fortnite Season 6, making them a less reliable way to complete the Legendary Quest quickly. Shockwave Grenades, like most Grenades in Fortnite, are a kind of loot. Players can typically find and pick up Shockwave Grenades as Floor Loot, in Chests, from Supply Drops, and in some Supply Llamas. They always come in sets of two.

To use a Shockwave Grenade, players will need to throw it toward the ground near their feet. Shockwave Grenades don’t deal damage or fall damage, but anyone caught in the blast radius will be thrown into the air. Like with Hop Floppers, players can maximize the effect of each Shockwave Grenade by detonating it on top of a tall structure or topographical high point on the map.

When working to complete the Week 10 Legendary Quest in Fortnite Season 6, players should consider using Team Rumble mode. Team Rumble makes fishing easier for players to complete without interruption and provides them enough materials to build structures right away. It also ensures they can respawn multiple times if they are eliminated while working on the challenge.
