Weight loss sensation Angela Deem may have been photoshopped in her 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6 promo pictures, according to some Reddit fans. As Angela waits for Michael to get his visa, the 90 Day Fiancé grandmother to six grandkids has been working on losing 100 pounds on the show. And one look at Angela’s Instagram does show she’s much slimmer and younger-looking now. While the show will be focusing on her weight loss surgery by Dr. Michael K. Obeng, it’ll also showcase how her married life with his namesake has been hell. But TLC has allegedly made Angela look unrecognizable in her 90 Day Fiancé photoshoot as far as fans can tell.

During the season 6 premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Angela, who already looked healthier than before, revealed how she took the drastic step of getting gastric sleeve surgery for her grandkids. With trouble breathing, and the number only going up on her scale, 90 Day Fiancé‘s Angela, 54, also wanted to look younger for her 33-year-old Michael. But “big things”-loving Michael opposed Angela’s makeover, fearing that after her operations she might leave him for someone new. Still, August 2020 had Angela undergoing five surgeries in a day to slowly start showing her weight loss results to 90 Day Fiancé fans.
Quite recently, 90 Day Fiancé icon Angela revealed how she’s had liposuction, gastric sleeve reduction, breast reduction and more done with no complications. Fans were stunned to see the chain-smoking meemaw looking nothing like herself in the Instagram photos of her 100-pound weight loss. The prospect of seeing Angela undergo the transformation on the spin-off excited TLC viewers, as the teaser was released and promo photos were posted. However, one of these pictures showing 90 Day Fiancé‘s Angela and Michael struck some Reddit fans as odd, which made them question TLC’s photo manipulation skills.
A 90 Day Fiancé viewer shared the debatable photo with a caption, “This does not even remotely look like Angela’s face…I know she’s lost weight, but this is just bad photoshopping on TLC’s part!” A fan asked if TLC was intentionally going for the “bobblehead look” in the “awful edit.” Another wondered if Angela could really be looking like that now after losing the weight.
As seen in one of the above comments, one fan observed how Angela looked more like Mama June Shannon than herself in this 90 Day Fiancé promo, with her styling in the red dress being similar to the From Not to Hot star’s big reveal photos. Interestingly, Mama June shares her manager with Angela now. In fact, Angela’s weight loss surgeon, Dr. Michael, is also the one who gave Mama June her makeover, and the 90 Day Fiancé‘s trainer, Natasha Fett, is who helped get the From Not to Hot star into shape. But while TLC may make fans wait until the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? finale to see if Angela really looks like the promo picture, perhaps it was Mama June who really inspired her to take the leap.
