Back in February, Firesprite Games announced that they were working on a next-gen version of the sci-fi shooter, The Persistence. Per Gematsu, the developer has now announced that The Persistence Enhanced will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on June 4.

In a press release, Firesprite managing director Graeme Ankers stated that the team is “really excited to debut The Persistence on next-generation hardware, bringing improvements that intensify the immersive stealth horror for both existing players and newcomers alike.”

Meanwhile, current PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC players that have the original version of the game will receive an upgrade at no cost.

In The Persistence, players are tasked with surviving on board a doomed deep space colony starship in the year 2521. The ship has been overrun with horrific and murderous monsters. The player must explore, evade and fight their way through the ship to bring it back to Earth.
