‘Super 8’ is Coming to 4K Ultra HD for the Film’s 10th Anniversary in May

Before there was “Stranger Things” there was the J.J. Abrams-directed throwback film Super 8, an homage to Steven Spielberg that was also produced by Spielberg.

Believe it or not it’s now been ten years since the release of Super 8, and Paramount Home Entertainment is celebrating by bringing the film to 4K Ultra HD disc this coming May.

Super 8 comes to 4K Ultra HD on May 25, 2021.

Newly remastered for this release, the critically acclaimed Super 8 stars Joel Courtney (The Kissing Booth), Kyle Chandler (“Friday Night Lights”), and Elle Fanning (“The Great”).

Super 8 tells the story of six friends who witness a train wreck while making a Super 8 movie, only to discover that something unimaginable escaped during the crash. They soon discover that the only thing more mysterious than what it is, is what it wants.
