dirt 5 energy pack

Codemasters may well now be under the wing of EA, and it may be a few months since they released their latest adrenaline-fuelled DIRT 5 racer to the masses, but today we see a brand new DLC pack hit the game, one that doesn’t just amp up DIRT 5 to new measures, but drops in 4 new cars as well.

The DIRT 5 – Energy Content Pack is a new downloadable content piece that brings in some of the legends of both the American and European auto scene. Full of power, precision, speed and skills, the Energy Content Pack allows players the chance to embark on new racing journeys with the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra PreRunner in tow, alongside the European offerings of the Alpine A110 Sports X and stunning electric stats of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.

Priced at £9.99, the DIRT 5 – Energy Content Pack is pretty much an essential purchase if you’re looking to really make the most of the racing that is on offer in the game. With all four of the news cars playable across all game modes – including the career mode which has an extra 25 bespoke events to enjoy – you’d be utterly crazy to miss out on it.  Further to that though two new sponsor options are also available, those of Xite and MadCroc, giving further personalisation items, bespoke liveries, new stickers, lanyards and custom livery editor options.

With the base game of DIRT 5 to hand, heading to the digital store of your choice (the Xbox Store is here for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players) will see you gaining access to the DIRT 5 – Energy Content Pack. That said, those who have previously purchased the DIRT 5Year One Edition, or the Year One Upgrade pack, will find this new content – and the new cars – automagically added in to their game.

DLC Description:

Legends of the American and European automotive scenes are represented in the four new cars as part of the Energy Content Pack. West of the Atlantic, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra PreRunner burst onto the scene – two trucks with immense power, adapted to survive the most extreme conditions. To the east, we find the eye-catching Alpine A110 Sports X – an experimental effort by the iconic French manufacturer, combining sportiness and ruggedness to conquer all routes. The same can be said of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, a revolutionary electric monster, generating well over 700bhp to mix futuristic power with precision engineering – perfect to let loose around DIRT 5’s varied global routes. All four cars are playable in all game modes – including in Career, where we’re adding another 25 bespoke events for you to take on, many of which using classes which feature the four new cars in DIRT 5. Head to Brazil, New York, South Africa, Nepal and more destinations to take part in new scenarios, including dynamic and extreme weather conditions to overcome. Two new exclusive sponsor options will also be available in Career – Xite and MadCroc – and completing the new events when signed to these sponsors will unlock new personalisation items, such as bespoke liveries, stickers, lanyards, and custom livery editor options.
