Just last night McFarlane Toys released images that give us an updated look at their 12″ Commando Spawn from the Mortal Kombat 11 game and a look at a prototype of a Violator figure.
If you remember McFarlane Toys first gave us a look at the Commando Spawn static figure and now they’ve released more product information on it as well as releasing some packaging shots. Which can mean only one thing it’s not that far from release now. I really do like the Commando Spawn costume in the game and I am glad that it’s getting representation from McFarlane Toys. Though I do admit I would love a 7″ articulated version too.
Here’s the product information from McFarlane Toys:
Spawn: Commando Spawn (Dark Ages Skin)
Al Simmons, once the U.S. government’s greatest soldier and most effective assassin, was mercilessly executed by his own men. Resurrected from the ashes of his own grave in a flawed agreement with the powers of darkness, Simmons is reborn as a creature from the depths of Hell. A Hellspawn. Now he is thrust into the world of Mortal Kombat, where he will fight for supremacy against all Kombatants.
Product Features:
- Highly detailed 12” static figure based on the Mortal Kombat Franchise
- Spawn is featured in his Dark Ages Skin as seen in Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack DLC
- Includes Spawn Gun, Necroplasm Flame, and a base
- The figure is showcased in Mortal Kombat themed window box packaging
- Designed to accentuate all the details in the figure from cape to boot
Though that’s not all that McFarlane showed off from the Spawn license as they’ve also shown off a preview image of an upcoming Violator figure which I have to say he looks mightily impressive. It’s unclear at this time how this figure will be released. Though there is speculation that they may do a brand new Spawn line of figures as recently they showed off in a Livestream an updated and articulated Gunslinger Spawn and a Redeemer figure and they both looked fantastic. So the Violator may be a part of that line as a figure or a BAF which would be a first for their Spawn line. I doubt it would be a Kickstarter as Todd has hinted that the next Kickstarter would be a Medieval Spawn. More details of this figure are bound to be revealed soon.
