A few months ago when NECA first revealed their Ultimate 55′ Doc Brown figure NECA teased at another Marty McFly figure in those images. And just today NECA has officially revealed the figure with an image gallery.

This figure is the Audition Version of Marty McFly from the begging of the original film where’s he’s auditioning with his band at school and NECA has sprinkled in some extra accessories from the film which is a great touch. I’m a big fan of the 85 Ultimate Marty McFly figure that NECA has released and I’m still looking to get the 15 Marty, Biff Tannen, and the Doc Brown figure when it’s released.

When I first saw this figure being hinted at in the Doc Brown gallery I wasn’t too sure about getting this one but now seeing the image gallery of this figure it’s a must-have for me. What really sells me on it are the accessories. Audition Marty comes with the guitar that he uses during his audition, a set of headphones and a cassette player, a photograph, a newspaper, and a fading interchangeable hand. He’ll also come with interchangeable hands to hold the various accessories he comes with.

I really do like the inclusion of the fading hand and photograph from the end of the film. Also, I think these accessories might be hinting at another Marty figure from the finale of the film where he plays Johnny B Good and he’s wearing a suit. I can definitely see that one happening.

I should mention that when this figure is released next month or early March in the United States, it will initially only be available from Walmart for a time and we don’t know when it’ll be released internationally yet.
